![]() ![]() Normal tanks and most of the helicopters can be ignored if your armor is holding strong, but the missile launchers must be taken out as fast as possible. Repeat the same procedure: order your lance to deal with a mech, then ignore it and focus on taking out the minor support enemies. More missile launchers will spawn behind you as one or two mechs will spawn in front. Although the second building complex is a bit bigger than the first, it will be similarly defended. You can go there directly from the second clearing. Wipe out the defenders, then shoot the large satellite dish in the compound to continue. It's likely your teammates will significantly damage or even destroy one mech before you're done taking out all the support vehicles. It's advised to highlight a mech, press R to target it, tap F1 twice to order your teammates to attack it, then let them have at it while you run around and destroy the missile launchers. Despite being smaller and softer targets, the missile launchers are the bigger threat here because the mechs don't have a lot of power output. Missile launchers will spawn behind you, and at least two mechs will spawn as well. Take the turn and proceed down the hill, but be frosty. Proceed no faster than 50 kmph unless you're good at aiming there's no reason to rush or blow through ammo.Īfter the first clearing, the nearer target is to the right. The first clearing is straight on from the mission start, and you'll be attacked by a few normal tanks and helicopters as you arrive. Although the map is open enough that you can approach either target in any order, the map is designed almost as a series of three connected clearings. The mission tasks you with destroying two large satellite dishes at two separate camps. Be sure your mechs have strong rear armor even if they have to compromise a little offense to even out the weight. It's certain you've encountered some of them already in the course of side missions, but in Noble Cause, the missile shooters tend to spawn behind you and in large numbers. In addition to the usual tanks, you'll encounter missile-firing ground units. Ironically, the biggest threat will not be the mechs, but the placement of the enemy vehicle spawns. If all four mechs have maximum armor going in, even smaller mechs like the Javelin should be fine. This mission is a Raid-type mission and you won't encounter more than a few mechs, so it's unlikely that you'll take serious damage unless your lance has unusually low armor. However, the difficulty rating may seem a bit high. This mission has a tonnage limit of 200 tons, so you can field a large and heavy force for this one. Please see the Mission Types page for details. Both are similar to other contract types. However, they are mutually exclusive you can only choose one chain or the other. Both of those missions are optional but feature good rewards. Further, two additional missions will open up alongside it: "Picking up the Pieces" and "Picking at the Scraps" that begin side quest chains. After completing Last Man Standing, you will be required to raise your reputation to Level 5 before this mission becomes available. Noble Cause is the fifth campaign story mission. ![]()
